Whoa, can't believe it actually published that post yesterday! Maybe the gremlins are tired of hearing from me, and have decided to go ahead and restore my computer to its proper working order. :) Wow, look!!! Pictures and a post!! Wooohooo! This is the little snowman door hanging. I thought I might make a couple of these. And this is Homer Kitty, for Nancy, and Ragdolls, and ALL of those other kitty/quilter blogger friends out there. LOL He was sleeping on his back. :) Homer was a stray that showed up at our house on a frigid day in January several years ago. He was a very sick little fella. The vet fixed him up (after about a month of working with him), and he came to live with us. He's an awesome hunter (I really wish he weren't soooo inclined to hunt), and is a real people person as well. He's a wonderful companion. :) I mixed up a new sour dough starter last week, and actually have 3 loaves of bread rising as we speak. With a bit of luck, we should have fresh baked bread and beef stew for dinner. Yum! :) But in order to have that, I have to get up from here and get the stew in the crockpot. :D Thanks to all of you who sent greetings to me while I've been unable to do anything but check my "comments". I've missed being "out playing" with all of you! :) Hopefully, we're at the end of the siege.

She's baaaaack! Cute snowman. :-) And I LOVE the pic of Homer. My George was a rescue. LITERALY a rescue. He was a stray that we kinda got attached to. He'd been around 3 or 4 months when he got chased up a tree by a traveling tom and wouldn't come down. 3 days later we called the fire dept. to get him out of the tree. LOL! So he moved himself into the house and there he's been for the last almost 2 years.

I wonder ... regarding those days when Bloggers have problems loading photos ... I had noticed that when a particular program is open on my computer (Kodak-Easy Share), I absolutely cannot load photos on my Blog. I have to download my original photos with Kodak, do the appropriate cropping and resizing, then close out Kodak before loading to Blogger.

Just a thought ...

I love your little snowman door hanger quilt! I collect snowmen so I am automatically attracted to anything with a snowman on it! Is this your own pattern or?

So, your snowman - do you actually get snow down there? It's plenty white up here right now! Very cute. Are you giving them out for Christmas?

My Pippi is a foundling kitty--her and her two orange and white babies in the trailer court in the town my brother lives in (central IL) And SHE picked me out as much I picked her--been a good match. Homer is a pretty boy who had the good sense to pick YOU.

Hope those puter problems are behind you.

Have just popped over to your blog from Meggie's and love what I've read so far. That photo of the view from your ... balcony? would it be a stoop? (a word I know only from books) - it's so wonderful. I had no idea that Tenessee (oh dear, don't even know if I've spelt it right - Tennessee?) was like that. (I'm in Scotland.) And your quiltings! Lovely. I really must go and prepare notes now (I'm a teacher)but I'll return.

First, your kitty is very cute! I have a special fondness for all -black kitties, but with our herd, it's going to be hard to choose! My other sister has an all black kitty and it is difficult to get a good photo since you just have to use the flash to get any detail.

I loved the snowman door hanging!
