Randy's Eye Problem

Pam left a comment on a previous post asking about Randy's eye. Thanks so much for the info you posted there, Pam! And also thanks for asking if it's better. It's not. As a matter of fact, he was in excrcuiating pain with it last night. Today, the pain isn't as severe, but the redness seems to have returned with a vengeance. He also seems to have more intense pain by nighttime, and we think it may be due to having used the eye all day. He doesn't see the eye dr. again until Thursday. One of the things that really troubles him about it right now is if he covers his right eye, he can't see anything at all with the left eye, total blackness (the one with the inflammation). So, needless to say, we're both really concerned about whatever is going on with it.

Angie, I know I'm going to sound like someone's mom but I think you should maybe call the eye doctor and see if Randy can't get in there before Thursday...poor thing, I can't even imagine the pain he must be in.

I think I might have to agree. If they can possibly see him earlier(tomorrow!) the better. Vision is too precious.

I agree too. Maybe the doctor can fit you in ASAP because of all the pain he is in. You will be in my thoughts today! Let us know how it all works out,

Oh no. It is terrible to hear it's not better. I hope the doctor can see him as soon as possible. I will send some prayer your way.

Nice to meet another quilter/blogger in Tennessee!

Your angel applique blocks look great, even without faces, and what a good idea to use the back of your couch as a design wall!

I agree with getting him to the doctor asap Angie, this would be considered an emergency with that kind of pain and vision loss.
My best to you both, Nancy in MT

Angie ~*~

Your comment today left me speechless. I sucked in my breath and held it until the tears were ready to fall. A number of people are now emailing me either saying Mark's story was too close to home, or they have just heard about it. This has been a long 4 weeks. The hardest of my life and I'm still getting daily doses from people like you. Amazing, wonderful, angelic women and men, who have been drawn in by it all.

I wish I could hold you. First, I would say, I'm sorry, but then I would thank you for your unselfish grace for including yourself in the true happiness that came through your words to me.

This, like any crisis situation, will change all of our lives. But I have my son here, to finish finding a new way to live with what is left, and for that...I am grateful.

Bless you, my love...you have been a blessing to me today :)

(My daughters name is Angela and she never let us call her angie. She is 22 now and everyone calls her angie, I always did like that name :)

Angie, your angels are adorable, can't wait to see them with hair and faces! AND in a quilt. I wish I could quilt right now..I guess today, I'll go find something to do with my hands as I'll be alone for a while. DH has to go back to work, but my work has been called off another day....great til the paycheck comes. Oh well, we'll manage! Hope your DH's eye problem is better real soon. I agree, he needs to see a Dr. b4 Thursday.
