I see the bluebirds of happiness have arrived. Did they hear about the 'Occupy' movement and are beginning one of their own? I bet nobody told them you wish you had chickens or they might be lining up at the bird feeder in protest. Chickens love bird seed and will hang around underneath them waiting for overflows on the refills. Yep, Christmas greenery, some cute decorations, birds, blooms, dogs and sewing rooms!!!

I heard bluebirds, or a bluebird in the back yard a couple days ago so I put out some Zick Dough really quick in hopes it would come up and eat. No such luck. Last winter we had a pair around from January on. When I whistled they would come in and eat. LOL!

I need to get my greens done too! Yours look good!

Your pictures are so beautiful to look at. How do you do it ?
I have not seen a bluebird since I left the mid-west, it is lovely.

I am new to your blog, having just discovered it. Love your pictures of so many varied things. I am a bird-watcher too (extreme amateur), although on the other side of the world so our birds are a bit different. Would love to know what that beautiful bird is with the blue head. I have never seen it before, but it is really stunning.
