The days are getting shorter, and I've struggled with that this weekend. I have always loved the change from Summer to Fall, the nights drawing closer a little earlier each day, that feeling of being nestled inside at the close of the day.
These morning glories have greeted me the last couple of mornings with their sweet faces.

I do love those sweet faces, too. The leaves are slightly yellow here, beckoning fall.
That first photo really seems to speak fall. On it way and not stopping for any disasters or calamities.
I was just musing this morning about the shorter days. Trying to plan how to adjust so that more time indoors doesn't affect my spirit. I expect that we'll be inside a lot, once again.
Beautiful clouds!
And morning glories make me think of the little old lady that used to live next door when I was small. She had morning glory growing up the telephone pole on the corner of her yard, and I always thought they were so pretty.
I tried to grow pretty morning glories with poor results. Yours look happy. The shortening of the daylight hours is noticed and felt here as well and especially in the morning when it’s still dark when I wake up. Wish I could go back to sleep for an hour! I’ll be sad to see the flowers end their season but I’m ready for summer to be done. I would enjoy a long warm autumn season - a pleasant time to sit outside and enjoy a good book. The leaves are turning now so I put out a few autumn decorations.
