March 1, 2026. Sunday morning

🌱 HAPPY FIRST DAY OF METEOROLOGICAL SPRING! 🌱
It's March 1st.
Spring is officially here.
(Sort of.)
WHAT "METEOROLOGICAL SPRING" MEANS:
- Meteorologists divide the year into 4 seasons of 3 months each
- Spring = March, April, May
- It's based on temperature patterns, not astronomy
- The astronomical equinox is March 20th (that's the other "first day of spring")
WHAT'S DIFFERENT STARTING TODAY:
- We officially count "spring" weather
- Average temperatures trend upward
- Daylight increases noticeably
- Migration accelerates rapidly
WHAT'S THE SAME:
- It might still snow (probably will)
- Many animals started spring activities weeks ago
- Nature doesn't care about our calendar
BUT HERE'S WHAT MATTERS:
The psychological shift is real.
We're looking forward now, not surviving.
Every bad day feels like an exception.
Every good day feels like confirmation.
Spring isn't just warmer weather.
It's permission to hope.
And that starts today.
Welcome to March.
Welcome to spring.
Let's go see what's out there.
